It's been a year, just about, since I made the commitment to shoot every day. I've kept at it, even though I've missed days here and there. And during 2005, I took about 7,000 shots. Even allowing for the 2,000 or so that Julianna shot, that's still a lot. Of those say 5,000, there are only about 750 that I've bothered to keep. And of that 750, there's probably only 75 that I like. And of that 75, I've culled about 30 that still hold my attention. From 7,000 to 30 - that's something like 4/10ths of one percent! And, you know what? Considering everything - most notably, my skill at seeing and capturing what I see - I'm satisfied!
This weblog, which I began in February, has over 100 entries and odds are that all 30 of the images I still love are displayed here - along with a bunch I'd might rather forget. So over the next few days, I will see whether I can find my 3 or 4 favorites to post here. The rest of my best I'll put in a gallery.
Year's ending, you can tell...
